Sharing charts as images
Any chart in GrowPanel — and the world map — can be turned into a polished image, ready to post on LinkedIn or X, drop into a board deck, or paste straight into Slack. The image is generated in your browser from the chart you are already looking at, so it always matches what is on screen.
Creating a chart image
- Open any report with a chart (MRR, ARR, Subscribers, Churn, and so on)
- Set the chart up the way you want it — date range, filters, grouping, interval, stacked or line
- Click the ⋯ menu in the top-right corner of the chart
- Choose Download image…
- Adjust the options in the preview, then Copy image or Download PNG
The preview is the finished image, scaled down to fit the dialog. What you see is exactly what you get.
What the image contains
The export mirrors the chart's current state — there is nothing separate to configure:
- Filters and grouping carry over, including the "by plan"-style suffix in the title
- Interval (daily, weekly, monthly) and stacked vs line mode are preserved
- Series you have hidden by clicking legend items are left out entirely
- The legend is redrawn beneath the chart and wraps onto several lines when needed
Options

| Amounts | Hides the y-axis values. Useful when you want to show the shape of the curve without publishing revenue figures. |
| Legend | Shows or hides the legend. Only appears when the chart has one. |
| Last value | Adds a card showing the most recent data point, with the same numbers and formatting as the chart's own tooltip. |
| Background | Seven styles, starting with fully transparent — the PNG keeps its alpha channel, so the card drops onto any slide color — then a plain grey, soft brand gradients, and two confetti backgrounds for when you have something to celebrate. |
Moving the last-value card
The last-value card is placed automatically so it avoids the line, but you can drag it anywhere in the image — including off the card, half onto the background, for a layered look. Its position is kept when you switch background or edit the title, so you can fine-tune the layout and keep experimenting.
Hiding your numbers
Turning Amounts off removes the y-axis values and the axis line while keeping the trend, the dates, and the legend. This is the usual choice for sharing publicly when the growth curve is the story and the absolute revenue is not something you want to publish.
Note that the Last value card still shows a figure — switch it off too if you want the image to carry no numbers at all.
The world map
The Map report has its own download button in the top-right corner of the map.
The exported map works a little differently from charts:
- The map fills the entire card edge to edge, with the title and GrowPanel logo sitting on top of it
- The title defaults to the metric you are viewing — MRR, Subscribers, LTV, and so on — and can be edited like any chart title
- You can pan and zoom directly in the preview — drag to move, scroll to zoom — and your current view on the report carries over as the starting point. Zooming out shrinks the map inside the card, giving you white space around it
- A color legend in the lower left shows the map's color scale with the actual value range, formatted for the metric (amounts, percentages, or counts). Toggle it off with the Legend checkbox
- The chart-specific toggles (Amounts, Last value) do not apply to maps
Copying vs downloading
- Copy image puts the PNG on your clipboard, ready to paste into Slack, a Google Doc, a LinkedIn post, or a presentation
- Download PNG saves the file, named after the report and your account (for example
growpanel_monthly_recurring_revenue_acme.png)
Both produce the same image: 1920 × 1080 pixels, a 16:9 frame that fits social posts and slides without cropping.
Tips
- Set the chart up first. Every filter, grouping and toggle you apply on the report page shows up in the image, so get the view right before opening the dialog.
- Narrow the date range for a cleaner chart. Fewer points means fewer x-axis labels and a clearer line.
- Hide noisy series by clicking them in the chart legend before exporting — they disappear from the image and from its legend.
- Use a plain background for decks and reports, and save the confetti ones for milestone announcements.
